Alpine-Ski and Snowboard
Wintertime, with the white mountains and the sound of snow crunching underfoot, is a pure delight on the Seiser Alm. You will find our beautiful Hotel Icaro at the heart of the Seiser Alm ski resort. 23 ultra-modern ski lift facilities, 60 km of well-prepared ski runs of all levels of difficulty and pistes with the possibility of 100 per cent artificial snow coverage make the Seiser Alm an adventure in winter.
From the Seiser Alm to the Sellaronda? Easy: take the shuttle bus from Saltria as far as Monte Pana, and from there put your skis on and join the Sellaronda.
King Laurin Snowpark
Where snowboarders and free skiers will find perfect conditions and a wide range of choices
"Well, we were sitting there on the ISPO, the Winter Sports Fair in Munich, to present the King Laurin Snowpark – and what happens?" Christian's eyes are shining, and his whole being radiates happiness. "King Laurin qualifies for the ISPO Snow Summit Awards because it was classed as one of the five most beautiful snow parks in Europe!" But that's not all – it's now not only one of the most beautiful, but also the biggest snow park in the whole province and the second-largest in all of Italy. "Only the snow park in Livigno is bigger" remarks Christian (whom his friends call "Stas" and who is also president of the local "Panettone Bros" snowboard club), with a note of regret.
Indeed, as the graphic illustration shows, the park is unusually large. It's a total of 1500 metres long, and is divided into two segments. Quite separate from the normal slope operations, there is an area in the upper segment to the left of the Laurin Slope with numerous boxes, steps, and kickers for practice and warm up. It then crosses the slope to demonstrate its true grandeur in the lower segment, where winter sports enthusiasts will find high adventure. Next to a 120-metre-long half-pipe, there are several kicks, walls, boxes, and jumps where visitors can soar like a bird, and which even pros find challenging.
