Arrival

• By car: coming from the north, leave the A22 motorway at “Chiusa/Klausen”. Then pass Ponte Gardena and Castelrotto to reach the Alpe di Siusi. Coming from the south, leave the motorway at “Bozen/Bolzano North”. Continue towards Prato Isarco, Fié, Siusi and up the Alpe di Siuis. From Compatsch follow the signposts “Hotel Icaro“ for about 3 km.
  • Some important information: the hotel Icaro is situated in a traffic-calmed area. Roads are closed to public traffic from 09:00 a.m. till 05:00 p.m. Your booking confirmation allows you to drive to our hotel at any time. Just show the confirmation at the office in St. Valentin (on the way to our hotel, about 10 km before the hotel), where you will receive the driving permission for the car, that allows you to drive your car from St. Valentin (where the traffic-calmed area begins) till hotel Icaro. Outside office hours (before 09:00 a.m. and after 05:00 p.m.) the permission will be given at the hotel.
    The permission allows you:
     to drive your car along the street from St. Valentin to the hotel before 10:00 a.m. and after 05:00 p.m. during your stay
     to arrive and depart at any time (your room will be available from 03:00 p.m. the day of your arrival, and till 11:00 a.m. the day of your departure)
     to park at the hotel during your stay
  • In winter: for a safe arrival we suggest using winter tyres and snow chains.
• By train: From the station in Bozen/Bolzano or in Brixen/Bressanone take the bus till Siusi (stop: cableway Alpe di Siusi). Then take the cableway to the Alpe di Siusi, which brings you till Compatsch, where, if you ask, we will come and pick you up with our hotel bus. Alternatively we will book a taxi for you, which will bring you to the hotel.
• By plane: from the airport in Bozen/Bolzano (only flights from Hannover and Rome): we will gladly book a taxi for you, which will take you to our hotel. From the airport in Innsbruck: by taxi till the hotel or by train till Bozen/Bolzano or Brixen/Bressanone.
  
  ATTENTION: please make sure, to plan your arrival at our Hotel via "Fraktion Sankt Valentin, Kastelruth, Italy". Just enter that in Google Maps by clicking "Ad Destination" (the route planner normally suggests to pass through St. Ulrich and Pufel, but the road is now closed).
