The Dolomites

... tell stories millions of years old about a primordial sea, coral reefs and volcanoes, legends of princesses, dwarfs and witches, fascinating and magical…

Snow-Covered Mountains
Poignant, thousand-year-old stones were once a sea bed, where fish and corals, waves and tides used to live. The Dolomites are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a legacy of beauty forever engraved in the memories of those who encounter them, even if only from afar. They were named the “pale mountains” ever since the first adventurous explorers climbed their walls and trails, and overcame their cliffs and peaks. Perusing the Dolomites fills the eyes with colours: from silver to gold, passing through grey and pink, and a thousand more shades. Touching the Dolomites is a privilege reserved to the few. Touching their ancient and perennial strength is a gift that the ICARO affords to its guests. On the balcony, the eyes become filled with the sweet and majestic pinnacle of the Dolomites, rising from the immense sky of the Alpe di Siusi.
For decades, the ICARO has held its strategic lookout post sitting right in the middle of the Alpe di Siusi.
