Carl Moser - ROSENGARTEN

Carl Moser (Bolzano 1873-1939) was a painter from South Tyrol who, like few other European artists of his time, used colour woodcuts to create a fusion between Japanese and European pictorial styles. The main motifs of his works were the landscapes and people of the Alpine territory, as in the woodcut “Rosengarten” kept at ICARO, in which he celebrates the colours of the Dolomites.
